Bronwyn Clark is often asked by patients: "how did you get into this?!"  Answer: “I was lucky enough to become extremely ill - acupuncture offered a path to recovery.”

“In 2000, while working at the Center for Mind Body Medicine, I attended hearings at the White House Commission for Complementary and Alternative Medicine with my boss, Dr. Jim Gordon, who was a Clinton appointee and chaired the Commission. I learned from the testimonies of leading doctors like Andrew Weil and Dean Ornish, and was in awe of modality demonstrations and testimonies.  That same year, I was stricken with a bizarre illness, a Central Nervous System disruption that left me barely functioning.  A dozen different doctors could not diagnose the cause or cure for my symptoms. I returned to acupuncture sessions, where I experienced an active healing process under way. My practiioner understood my stymptoms and described why certain acupuncture points offered relief. I knew that this approach to medicine offered a way to recovery.  As the health crisis began to lift, naturally I needed to know how and why these little needles,  placed in precise places on my body, had renewed my health so effectively.  Pursuing a Master of Acupuncture was my next step.”
